Hello all. What a busy day we had! We arrived at the volunteer work site by 8 AM and hit the
ground running. Tools were unloaded from vans, cars and trucks. Rakes and brooms were flying and debris was cleared from both the yard and the inside of the house. We worked on one side of this glorious house last year and now we are tackling the other side.We really earned our nickname, "The Swarm" as we each took on tasks that matched our abilities and thoroughly enjoyed being together. We buzzes away until a few went to church services, whee both UUAC and Follen were acknowledged. Then the church goers delivered lunch. Afte devouring our food, we went back inside and worked just as hard as the morning. I personally got to paint over the graffitti sparyed on the exteior wall, and helped cut and lay in insulation for most of the rooms both upstairs and down. All of that was done except for 3 walls (we ran out). Exterior doors were hung, and window guards were installed to secure the house. We even got to start on hanging drywall...on the first day! Darrah and Darryl arrived safely and jumped right in. Tonight we enjoyed a wondeful dinner. I am headed to bed EARLY? It sounds like most eveyone is having a great time!
